Baby ball python, FEEDING GREAT! but how often?

i have a 8 week old (i think) ball python, i've been feeding him every 4 days, is that fine? he never had a problem feeding
Answers:
Every 4 days is a little too often. Extend it to about every 6-7 days. Otherwise you may end up with an obese snake, which could lead to health problems further down the road.
You should only feed once a week if you feed more often than that they will grow faster but there is also the risk of health problems in the future it may actually shorten your snakes lifespan. Good luck with your little baby they are wonderful.
Feed your snake once a week. Choose the same day to feed him every week so it will be easier for you to remember. Once he reaches his adult size and will no longer be growing, then it's ok to feed him every other week. Unfortunately when I got my snake he was quite fat and I still haven't managed to get him to a healthy size. His previous owners fed him too often.
you are feeding your snake a litt le too much, when u feed ur snake it goes on a hunger streak and wants more and more and more, you have to maintain its diet, a baby snake should be feed twice a month try a small mouse and as it gets larger go to large mice, you should also try to paralize the rat by placing a pincel in the back of its neck and pulling its tale till it breaks, it sounds horrible but its better to do that to ur rat then to have ur snake suddenly eaten or chewed out and infected, many snakes die that way, you could also hit the rats head against the glass of your snake aquarium or its it with an object, but not were its all bloody and dead, just make it dizzy and maybe try to hol the rat by the tail and feed to snake like that, thats what i do to mine, but always take ur snake out and feed it somewhere else or when u go to pet your snake he will think its feeding time and bite u.

hope this helps!

it is way too much if it is young it should be every week unless he is cage cruising then feed him once the lump is gone
you should feed the juveniles about once or twice a week. However when it gets older feed it once evry two weeks
for the first year, it should be fed every 5-7 days. After the year every 7-10 days. It should be eatting 1 prey item a little thicker than the thickest part of its body.
Every 4 days is a little to often. Try every 5-7 days.
Rember this... snake when givin the chance will overeat. So be careful with how often you feed it.
Good Luck

four days is too often. try feeding him every 7 days. until he gets about 8 months old to a 1yr. After that you can stretch it anything between 10-14 days.
