Baby lizards with a stripped tail?

is a baby lizard with a stripped tail dangerous? What if we found it in a house, would it be dangerous?
Answers:
what color are the stripes? It may not be dangerous... and also how long is it?
The only dangerous lizards native to the continental U.S. are the Gila Monsters. They are a beautiful lizard with tough skin and black and orange striped. They do have a venomous bite, but they have to almost chew on us to envenom-ate. Sounds like a collard lizard.
It is probably a skink or just a salamander. If it is black with yellow stripes it is a salamander. They are harmless, and if you can, catch and let it go outside.

Hope that halps identify your lizard! :)
