Often captive lizards get most of their liquid through vegetables and greens - but with a bearded dragon you could also try offering crickets and mealworms which would also add a source of water to their diet that would be beneficial - but no, leafy greens will not hurt him :)
go to www.beautifuldragons.com and look at the nutrition guide. this will tell you what they can and cannot eat. best ideas are kale, mustard greens, any type of squash, and prickly pear cactus pads (remove the spikes and the bump they grow out of!)
a good source of `salad`,grow nastursums they get covered in green/black flys your pet then gets is meat n veg.the tops of bean plants is another source.hope this helps.
salads have no or next to no nutrition. get mustard green, kale or green like that and cut the up, sprinkle with calcium powder from the pet shop. offer crickets and mealworm (also sprinkled with calcium powder. you also can give it waxworms sometimes.
watercrest, rocket , mine like the best , also locuts are the candy of the reptile world bearded dragon never say no to them,
sure allow some meal worms to crawl on the salad that would be yummy.
I don't know!! go to reptilianlifestyles.com
My bearded dragon eats most leaves but, for some reason doesn't like lollo rosso. They seem to prefer strong flavoured salads like watercress and dandelion. also give him finely chopped tomato and cucumber, they love it! I try and give him a bit of variety in his diet like they would in the wild so i give him beetles and worms and stuff as well as crickets you buy. Only thing is don't give him big house spiders because they seem to make him ill probably because of their venom. They can't manage slugs neither because they release to much slime when they try to eat them and get stuck!
Dandelions and dandylion flowers!
They go nuts for them and you can pick them for free just about anywhere.
Feed him some bugs too though.
